About Blink

What is Blink Health?

We created Blink Health to make prescriptions affordable for all Americans. By visiting blinkhealth.com or the Blink Health app, you get instant access to low prices on thousands of generic medications — at up to 80% less than retail markup.

We provide free shipping to your door from a licensed US pharmacy, or you can pick up at any participating pharmacy near you. We are accepted at 35,000 pharmacies nationwide, including Walmart, Safeway, Kroger, Publix, Costco and other major chains, along with many neighborhood drug stores. Just pay online with Blink, then make sure your selected pharmacy has received your prescription from your doctors’ office before you pick up.

Don't have a prescription? For certain conditions, we can connect you with a licensed medical professional — right from your smartphone or computer. If medically appropriate, you’ll get a prescription and we’ll deliver your medication automatically. No trip to a doctor’s office or pharmacy required (only available in select states).

Blink is for anyone who wants to save on their prescriptions. There are no commitments or hidden fees. Even if you have prescription drug coverage, many customers find that using Blink is a more affordable way to pay for their medication.

How does Blink offer these prices?

Blink works directly with the pharmacy industry to lower the cost of your medication. By cutting out the middlemen who control the majority of the industry (and profits), we can negotiate lower prices and pass the savings onto you.

Medication you buy through Blink is the same FDA-approved medication available at your local pharmacy (in fact, you can choose to pick it up from any participating pharmacy near you). Medication delivered to your home is shipped by a licensed US pharmacy partner that meets or exceeds strict quality and safety requirements established by the FDA.As more people start to use Blink, the more buying power we will have to negotiate and lower prices even further. To see if Blink can help you save, check a medication price now.

How does Blink protect my privacy?

We do not share or sell personal information, ever. We have implemented data security measures that are consistent with the HIPAA security regulations. You can view our Privacy Policy for more information at BlinkHealth.com/legal/privacy-policy

Additionally, Blink processes payments through Stripe, who uses of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.

How does Blink make money?

We earn a small percentage on every transaction made on blinkhealth.com or in the Blink Health app. Although our prices are way lower for the exact same FDA-approved medication sold in some pharmacies, our business model and technology platform allow us to make a fair profit without inflating drug prices for customers.

Where is Blink located?

Blink Health offices are located in New York.

If you can’t find your medication formulation, try searching again and double-checking the drop-downs on the medication page. You can also enter a custom quantity. If you believe there is a medication name, form, strength or quantity missing from BlinkHealth.com, please email [email protected]

Can I use Blink for any quantity?

You can use Blink to pay for any quantity provided in the medication drop-downs, or you can enter a custom quantity. Please note the quantity you pay for with Blink must match the prescription from your doctor.

Does Blink cover brand medications?

Yes. Blink covers brand medications when there is not a generic version of the medication available. If there is a generic alternative, Blink only offers pricing for the generic version.

Why is my brand medication more expensive?

We are a young company and we started by negotiating the lowest possible prices for generic medications. We will be negotiating prices for brand medications shortly, so please continue to check back.

I purchased the Blink Smart Deal™. Why did I get charged the Blink Everyday Low Price?

The Blink Smart Deal is only valid at select pharmacies in our network. If you fill your prescription at a different pharmacy, your payment will be automatically adjusted for the Blink Everyday Low Price. You will get an email confirmation for any price adjustment.

Can I use Blink for over-the-counter medications?

Yes, but you will still need a prescription from the doctor in order to use Blink to fill the medication at the pharmacy counter. Ask your doctor to give you a prescription for the over-the-counter medication.

Who manufactures Blink’s medications?

Blink does not specify your Blink Price based on manufacturer. Please talk to your local pharmacist about the manufacturer for the prescription medication you fill at the pharmacy. In the case of our free home delivery pharmacy partners, please see our home delivery FAQs [link].

Can I use Blink for pet medications?

No. Blink does not currently cover medications that are prescribed by a veterinarian, even if it is a human medication.

Is Blink free to use?

Blink is free to use! You can search for the price of your medication on our app or website with no commitment or fees, whatsoever.

Can I add dependents to my Blink Account?

How do I create an account for a family member?

To create an account for a family member, please log out of your existing account and select "Create account" from BlinkHealth.com/Login. You will need to use a second email address. Please note you cannot change the email address on an account after creation. Enter the name and date of birth for the family member.

How do I reset my password?

Please email [email protected] with your request. Please note Blink accounts are absolutely free. There are no commitments and your privacy is protected. There is no risk associated with keeping your Blink Account.

Refills

Can I use Blink for refills?

Absolutely. If you have refills left on your current prescription, place a new order from Your Medications. When you get to the pharmacy (make sure they have your prescription), show the pharmacist your Blink Card. You always owe $0 at the counter.

If you prefer to have your medication delivered to you, check to see if Home Delivery is available for your medication. You can also enroll in Auto-Refill to have your medication delivered on schedule without having to reorder each time. Your medication is always filled by a licensed, US pharmacy. Shipping is always free.

Should I request my refill at the pharmacy or pay first?

For pickup orders, pay for your medication with Blink first, and then ask your pharmacist to refill your prescription with Blink. If your pharmacist attempted to refill your prescription before you paid with Blink, please ask the pharmacist to process the refill again.

How do I order refills?

To order a new refill go to Your Medications. Choose a pickup or delivery option in the dropdown menu, then click “Add to Cart” and complete your purchase. You can also use the Blink Health app to quickly pay for your refills.

If your medication is available for Home Delivery, you may consider enrolling in Auto-Refill during checkout. We’ll ship your refills automatically — no need to reorder each time. Learn more about Auto-Refill here (it’s a free service).

If you’re on a subscription, you don’t need to reorder your refills each time. We ship them to you automatically. When you’re about to run out of refills on your prescription, we’ll send you a reminder to start a new online doctor visit. You can cancel Auto-Refill at any time from your account.

Subscriptions

What should I do if I need to change my delivery address?

You can update your address any time from your account.

When do I get charged?

The frequency of your refill charges is determined by your delivery schedule — monthly or every three months. Your $9.95 monthly subscription fee is charged at the end of each month.

Can I talk to the same doctor every time?

You may not always be able to message with the same physician. All physicians provide personal care and have access to your previous online doctor visits and full message history.

How many months of pills can I receive at a time?

The number of packs you receive per delivery is based on your prescription and online doctor visit. If you would like to receive multiple packs at a time, talk to your online physician about your available options.

Who dispenses, fills and delivers my medication?

Blink Health works with a licensed, US-based independent pharmacy partner that dispenses, fills and delivers your medication.

Your birth control pills are FDA-approved and made by FDA-approved manufacturers.

What if I’m not prescribed any medication?

For your safety, the doctor may not prescribe based on your online doctor visit (or if you are a first-time birth control user). You will receive a response from the doctor if you are not eligible for a prescription.

Your $5 medical fee covers the cost of your online visit and is non-refundable.

Which brands do you carry?

We offer generic options for 280+ brands of the pill. If we do not carry your exact medication, the doctor will recommend a comparable option for you.

Our generic options:

How does a subscription work?

We help you get the birth control pills you trust, automatically delivered. No trips to the doctor’s office or pharmacy required.

Start by choosing the type of birth control pills you have been prescribed before — then complete an online doctor visit. It’s just like a regular medical evaluation, but from the privacy and convenience of your home.

A licensed physician will follow up with you within one business day. If appropriate, you will get a year-long prescription for the same or comparable medication you requested. Your refills are delivered automatically every 1–3 months according to your prescription.

Your monthly subscription includes access to online physicians over secure messaging. You’re free to ask them anything about your prescription — plus you can renew online at no additional cost when you run out of refills on your prescription.

Are the doctors licensed?

Yes. The doctors are licensed to practice medicine in the states listed here. You get high-quality and personalized online care from the comfort and privacy of your home.

Blink’s third-party partner connects you with board-certified physicians licensed to practice in the states listed above. You get high-quality and personalized care from the comfort and privacy of your home.

All your communication with the doctor is conducted over secure online messaging. You’re free to ask them anything about your treatment plan or prescription.

If you’re prescribed a medication, we recommend keeping your primary care physician, and any other physicians you see, up to speed on all the prescriptions you’re taking.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

What’s a subscription?

We help you get the medication you need, automatically delivered each month. If you’re eligible for treatment, you can get prescribed online by a licensed doctor in as little as 24 hours. Right now, we offer subscription plans for select E.D. and hair loss meds (delivery only).

Your subscription includes an initial online consultation right after checkout, and continued access to licensed doctors over secure online messaging every day. You’re free to ask them anything about your treatment plan, plus renew online at no extra cost when your prescription runs out. There are no commitments, and you can change or cancel an auto-refill or subscription anytime.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes — and we can help you get prescribed online (for select E.D. and hair loss meds only) right after checkout. Complete an online consultation about your health and medical history (it takes about 10 minutes from a computer, phone or tablet), and a licensed doctor will review your information to see if a prescription is right for you or not.

When it’s time to renew your prescription, you can do so online at no extra cost with your subscription.

Do I need prescription drug coverage?

You don’t. We cut out a lot of industry middlemen to bring down the cost of your medication. We’re up to 80% less expensive than retail prices at CVS and Walgreens — you could save hundreds of dollars on the exact same medication. We’re often lower for those with prescription drug coverage too.

How much is a subscription?

You can get started for just $5. After your first month, a subscription is $9.95/month (select medications only), plus the cost of your medication each month. The price of your medication is based on the doctor’s prescribed quantity and dosage. We’ll let you know the exact cost of your medication once you’re prescribed.

You can cancel your subscription anytime. To cancel, call us at 1 (844) 484-5109 or send an email to [email protected]
For example:
$9.95 (subscription fee) + $6.95 (sildenafil, 10 tablets, 20 mg) = $16.90/month

Why was I prescribed something different than what I purchased?

The doctor will prescribe based on your medical history and online consultation. For your safest and most effective results, the doctor may prescribe you a higher quantity and dosage than listed at checkout. If you have any questions about your prescription, you can send the doctor a message from your message center.

When will I get my medication?

Our pharmacy team ships your medication based on your individual treatment cycle each month. We’ll send you auto-refills until you run out on your prescription. To renew, request a renewal online with the doctor. It’s included with your subscription at no extra cost.

Why are there two different charges?

Your subscription and medication are charged separately each month. Your subscription is $9.95/month, charged every 30 days from your initial purchase. Your medication (price dependent on prescribed quantity and dosage) is charged a few days before it ships each month.

I wasn’t prescribed. Can I be refunded?

The $5.00 medical fee is non-refundable. It covers the cost of your Broadway Provider Group, P.A consultation and is paid directly to the doctor.

If you’d like to learn more about why you weren’t prescribed, you can follow up with the doctor from your message center.

If you aren’t prescribed, we will automatically cancel your subscription.

Why didn’t I get my medication this month?

Subscriptions: Online Doctor Visits

How does the online doctor visit work?

The online doctor visit is just like a regular medical evaluation, but from the privacy and convenience of your smartphone or computer. You will be asked a series of questions about your medical history and symptoms — depending on your condition, you may be asked to upload photos or provide lab work. We ask that you answer all questions openly and honestly to support an accurate diagnosis by your clinician.

Are the doctors licensed?

Yes. Blink’s third-party partner connects you with board-certified physicians and licensed clinicians. You get the same high-quality and personalized care you would expect from an in-person visit, but from the comfort and privacy of your home.

Can I talk to the same doctor every time?

You may not always be able to message with the same physician or clinician every time. Your medical information and full message history are available to the clinician who is reviewing your doctor visit at a given time.

Is my information secure?

Blink is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your personal information, and we respect that medical information is particularly sensitive. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.

How soon can I get prescribed?

If you meet eligibility requirements, you could get prescribed online in as little as 24 hours. A licensed medical professional will review your medical history and determine what’s appropriate for you. Online doctor visits are available for select medications only.

How do I upload a photo?

During your online doctor visit, you will be asked to take a photo of your ID, insurance card and face. When prompted during your consultation, click “+Take Photo”. You must have camera access enabled from your browser.

You may also be asked to upload additional photos based on the condition for which you are seeking treatment. Your photos are secure and can only be viewed by your clinician.

How do I renew my prescription?

We will let you know when you’re due to renew your prescription. To get more refills, simply complete a new online doctor visit. Online doctor visits are included with your subscription at no extra cost.

Can I transfer an existing prescription?

Not at this time. If you have refills remaining on a current prescription, we recommend you check the price of your medication on blinkhealth.com. We might be able to provide a lower price — we also offer auto-refills with free shipping for all home delivery medications.

Why was I prescribed something different than what I purchased?

For your safest and most effective results, your treating clinician may choose to prescribe you something different from what you purchased. We recommend you consult your clinician directly with any questions about your treatment.

What if my online doctor prescribes a medication that isn’t eligible for a subscription?

For your safest and most effective results, your treating clinician may choose to prescribe a medication that is not currently available with a subscription. If that’s the case, we suggest using Blink Home Delivery to get your medication and refills. We offer complimentary auto-refills and free shipping.

What if I’m not prescribed any medication?

For your safety, you may not be prescribed based on your online doctor visit. You will be notified if you are not eligible for a prescription. Your $5 medical fee covers the cost of your online doctor visit and is non-refundable.

You will be asked to provide a full cholesterol panel (or lipid panel) during your online doctor visit. When prompted, take a photo of your lab work or upload a file directly.

If you don’t have a cholesterol panel, ask your doctor during your next visit. Most clinics and pharmacies offer screenings too.

Cold sores: Can I get a subscription for cold sore medication?

At this time, cold sore medication is not available on a subscription. If you need help getting a prescription, you can add a one-time online doctor visit at checkout. To get your medication delivered automatically (with free shipping), select the “Auto-Refill” option before you complete your purchase.

Subscriptions: Men’s Health

What’s a subscription?

We help you get the medication you need, automatically delivered each month. If you’re eligible for treatment, you can get prescribed online by a licensed doctor in as little as 24 hours. Right now, we offer subscription plans for select E.D. and hair loss meds (delivery only).

Your subscription includes an initial online consultation right after checkout, and continued access to licensed doctors over secure online messaging every day. You’re free to ask them anything about your treatment plan, plus renew online at no extra cost when your prescription runs out. There are no commitments, and you can cancel your subscription and auto-refills anytime.

How much is a subscription?

You can get started for just $5. After your first month, a subscription is $9.95/month, plus the cost of your medication each month. The price of your medication is based on the doctor’s prescribed quantity and dosage. We’ll let you know the exact cost of your medication once you’re prescribed.

For example:

$9.95 (monthly subscription) + $6.95 (sildenafil, 10 tablets, 20 mg) = $16.90/month

Can anyone get prescribed online?

For E.D. and hair loss, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Erectile Dysfunction

Online doctor visits for erectile dysfunction are available for men between the ages of 25 and 65 in the following states: Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wyoming.

Are your doctors licensed?

Yes. The doctors are licensed to practice medicine in the states listed here. You get high-quality and personalized online care from the comfort and privacy of your home.

How soon can I get prescribed online?

If you meet eligibility requirements, you could get prescribed online within 24 hours. After you complete your online consultation (it takes about 10 minutes from a computer, phone or tablet) a licensed doctor will review your information and determine the treatment plan that’s right for you. Currently, online consultations are available for select E.D. and hair loss meds only.

Is my information secure?

Blink is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your personal information, and we appreciate that medical information is particularly sensitive. Please read our Privacy Policy for more details.

How do I take a photo in my consultation?

For your hair loss consultation, you’ll be asked to take a photo of your hairline, insurance card, face, and ID from your computer. When prompted during the consultation, click “+Take Photo”. You must have camera access enabled from your browser.

Your photos are secure and can only be viewed by the licensed medical professionals supporting your online consultation.

I completed my online consultation. Now what?

After you complete and submit your online consultation, you’ll hear back from the doctor within 24 hours. Depending on your health and medical history, the doctor may have follow-up questions or you may not be prescribed. You can check your message center for the latest updates from the doctor.

Can I pick up my medication at a pharmacy?

If you have a subscription, your medication will be shipped to you automatically based on your prescription and dosing schedule. Right now, local pickup is not available with a subscription.

Why are there two different charges?

Your subscription and medication are charged separately each month. Your subscription is $9.95/month, charged every 30 days from your initial purchase. Your medication (price dependent on prescribed quantity and dosage) is charged a few days before it ships each month.

How do I cancel my auto-refills?

If you'd like to stop receiving auto-refills, you’ll need to cancel your subscription. You can cancel by calling our customer care team at 1 (844) 484-5109.

What if my online doctor prescribes a medication that isn’t eligible for a subscription?

If you’re prescribed something different, you can still get your medication. Instead of automatic shipments, you’ll need to manually order your refills online when you need them. If you need to renew your prescription, just add an online doctor visit at checkout.

I wasn’t prescribed. Can I be refunded?

The $5.00 medical fee is non-refundable. It covers the cost of your consultation and is paid directly to the doctor.

If you’d like to learn more about why you weren’t prescribed, you can follow up with the doctor from your message center.

Why did Blink launch the Roche Diabetes Care Program?

People living with diabetes will tell you that it is a daily struggle to navigate this complex and expensive condition, but it shouldn’t be. This group’s health care costs 2.3 times greater, on average, than those without diabetes, and more than 20% of health care spending is for people diagnosed with diabetes.

Blink Health is aiming to level the playing field for consumers as they face continued increases in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, and the program we’ve launched with Roche is an example of the impact we can have when we work to create solutions that helping people afford treatment for chronic conditions like diabetes.

How is this access program different from Roche’s “Simple Pay” program?

Blink Health’s program offers discounts on all of Roche’s diabetes portfolio, not only the Guide system.

Why isn’t insulin part of the Blink Health Roche Diabetes Patient Care Program?

Blink Health is also working on solutions to lower the price of insulin. As announced in December 2016, Blink Health and Eli Lilly and Company have entered into a first-of-its-kind access program to offer a 40 percent discount on Lilly insulins, including Humalog, one of the most widely prescribed branded insulin medications. Blink Health is pursuing similar arrangements with other pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to offer additional discounts.

Are there any restrictions or limits on refills?
